University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa” (UMF Iași) is one of Romania’s oldest and most prestigious medical institutions. The university was established in 1879 and it has evolved from a single faculty into a comprehensive medical university named after the renowned anatomist Grigore T. Popa.

The University imposes itself as today with a valuable teaching body as well as with a modernized basic and technical matter, suitable for carrying out the didactic process and the scientific research activity.
